Turkey Meatloaf

This is a pretty basic turkey meatloaf. Of course you can use beef but I like using ground turkey for all the reason I have mentioned in other ground turkey recipes. Health and cost being the main two reasons.

It is a great time of year to start eating classic comfort foods like this one and the mac and cheese I posted earlier. Soon to come mashed potatoes!

1lb Ground turkey
½ Medium Onion finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves minced
1 egg
1 cups Breadcrumbs
2 tsp Worchester sauce
4 tsp Ketchup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. If you feel like your mixture is too moist you can add more bread crumbs.

Put mixture into a loaf pan or use an 8 x 13 baking dish and form the mixture into a loaf shape. Cook for about 45 min. The internal temp should be 145 degrees.

There are a lot of different ways to top meatloaf. I like BBQ sauce. Whatever you choose you can just serve on the side or put on the top of the meatloaf for the last 20 min of baking.

Let the meatloaf sit for a few minutes before slicing and serving alongside your favorite side dish.
