Basic Chili

Football season has begun and then weather has started to change so I thought this was the perfect week to make chili.  Everyone seems to have their own chili recipe.   I looked through a bunch of them online and in the end, I kept my recipe pretty much the same. I have found when you keep chili basic it is delicious so there is no need to complicate it.

Please feel free to make whatever changes you see necessary though. If you have any good ideas or tips, send them my way.

#1- Some great common topper suggestions are sour cream, shredded cheddar, chives, tortilla chips.

#2- This is great served with a $.50 box of Jiffy cornbread and it is so cheap to make.  You can also serve it over spaghetti or with tortilla chips or Fritos. Who doesn’t love a good old Frito Pie.
