5 Layer Dip

Here is one more recipe for the Super Bowl. Pretty much all of these ingredients are on sale this week because of the Super Bowl. It is very similar to the normal 7 layer dip, I just made the layers things that I enjoy. It is so quick, easy and affordable. I could not get a photo though because I am in DC in the middle of the snow storm and have no way to get to the grocery store. Send me a photo if you make it an I will upload it.

Quick tips: You can add extra layers to this dip such black olives, onions, cilantro, corn...etc.

1 can Refried beans or Black Beans
2 Avocados
1 tsp Lime juice
1 tsp Cumin
1 jar Salsa
8 oz Sour Cream
2 cups Shredded Mexican mix Cheese (or cheese of your choice)
Tortilla Chips



In a round pie plate spread out the refried or black beans in the bottom. If you are using black beans mash them up a little with a fork. Dice up the avocado in a bowl and slightly mash them with the lime juice and cumin. Spread evenly over the beans. Next pour the salsa on top of the avocado, followed by spreading the sour cream on top and then top with the shredded cheese. That's it, you are done.
